why rainbows

as a classically trained fine artist, it’s kind of funny to think that after all the time (and money!) i’ve spent on school . . . here I am . . . painting rainbows and palm trees.

when i stand in the presence of a rainbow, i can’t help but feel like there’s something bigger. everything else goes quiet and fades away. i fall into the beauty of the rainbow. there is nothing else.

to me, the message of the rainbow is :

love for all ✿ peace for all ✿ hope for all

the concept of my rnbw work, aims toward an experience that exceeds the boundaries of the purely aesthetic. i want you, the viewer, to simply feel love when you look at these pieces. i want you to feel like everything is already ok. i want you to feel enveloped by calm, peace, hope, happiness and good energy in that moment.

r = right

n = now

b = be

w = well

. . . and the palm tree?

that’s you.
